Crossroads Church hosts many workshops that deal with issues that affect families. One issue that is affecting more and more families is autism. On June 19th, the church will be hosting an all-day fair entitled "Innovations in Autism." I attended the 'Innovations in Autism' seminar on June 19, and was greatly informed about different ways to help my son with ADD. As a matter of fact, New York 1 News was present and taped a segment on the seminar: http://statenisland.ny1.com/content/...-at-s-i--forum. I believe the next 'Innovations' seminar will be in April, 2011, and I encourage you to attend. There are many services in Staten Island that help children with special needs, and as parents, we should be armed with as much information as possible. We are our children's advocates, so we must take the horse by the reigns and be informed.

As a schoolteacher, I'd like to stay updated on the latest info on ADHD, ADD, & autism. Would love to know if there will be a 2011 Innovations conference. Also, I've helped many parents find educational toys for their special needs kids with my Discovery Toys business.
